Why Choose Jarvis Veterinary Physiotherapy for Your Horse?
At Jarvis Vet Physio, we understand that every horse is unique. With different workloads, environments, and personalities, each horse deserves care that is tailored to their individual needs. Whether your horse is a showjumper, dressage horse, eventer, a happy hacker, an all-rounder, retired or in the process of recovering from injury or surgery.
We believe that no two horse's are the same, and that’s why our approach to equine physiotherapy is completely personalised. Physiotherapy can benefit whether your horse has a change in behaviour, a diagnosed condition, post surgery or simply a routine maintenance session.

WHAT DOES A EQUINE PHYSIOTHERAPY SESSION INCLUDE?
Discussion
Before your appointment, we may have had a phone consultation and a initial client form will be sent prior to treatment to collect key information about your horse and their clinical history. The initial consultation will be more comprehensive, while subsequent sessions will focus on any updates and progress.
Assessment
A thorough assessment that includes a review of all clinical history, gait assessment, palpation, and joint range of motion. This physical examination provides essential insights into your horse's condition and overall health.
Treatment
After the assessment, a personalised treatment plan will be created based on our findings and any specific goals. Each plan is based on the individual horse to address your horse's unique needs. Treatment includes massage, stretches, passive and active range of motion, electrotherapies (Laser Therapy, Therapeutic Ultrasound, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy, TENS, Epiony Heat Pad, Cryotherapy) and remedial exercises.
Home Plan
Recommendations of exercises or care will be provided on the day of the session to help further support your horse's recovery. A report summarising the assessment findings and the treatment provided during treatment. If needed, a veterinary report to share with other professionals involved in your horse's care. Also, we are always happy to hear updates on your horse's progress or answer any questions you may have after treatment.
